Here at #SMMW18, I am inspired to renew and refresh myself by embarking on a new challenge to write a blog a day for the next 20 days. Via expressing my thoughts and ideas, I also expect to learn new things about myself.
Introspective Meets Social Motivator. From the Myers Brigg test that I took several years ago, my score was an ENFP. Prior to this test, I always defined myself as more of an introvert, as I had a fear of being judged (or even misjudged) by associates and acquaintances who would say I was “boring”. Conversely, I’ve also liked being around people and I am motivated by the energy derived from others. Through this exercise, my introspective self can write about new ideas or thoughts. The social motivator part of me can touch upon topics that hopefully enlighten and motivate others to creating their own 15 day, 20 day, 30 day challenges.

- Dream into Goals. When one thinks of a dreamer, often, it appears that the individual only dreams and doesn’t materialize those ideas into a defined goal – therefore, they have a label of not accomplishing what they are dreaming of. I’ve always been a dreamer. I would write those dreams into a journal, or way back then, my Diary. By writing those dreams down- without reservations, without boundaries and without labeling, I was free to express what I really wanted. Those dreams were my goals. So, dreams are part of our inner soul and when we idealize, fantasize, illustrate, internalize, and visualize those dreams, we’re really placing them into goals.
True, they’re not SMART goals. And not all goals start with a dream. Those dreams, however, that you write about, you think about, you talk out loud about, you put into some form of action, they can and most often will become an actual goal. So, for dreamers like me, dream on.
- Activity Provides Lead Action. By writing, I would like to see how this might open a new door, perhaps even explore an escape hatch to a new destination. This will spring me into action, but I am looking for a lead action – this is what I call an action that will result in a plan, a strategy, and bonafide results.
- Periscope Depth. Through this exercise, I can peek at what is above the surface, yet still be in a detailed under the surface mode. The ability to dive into unchartered waters is a little dicey, so, this level is just right. 20 Days is optimal for me to explore 20 new topics as well.
- Engaging with the People. Developing engaging content is all the rage. Building a community, inscribing your new tribe, and creating new influencers. Those ideas speak volumes to me. This blog challenge is an avenue to listen to my friends, family, and fans and test what best resonates with them – from style, tone, topic, community, and more.
This is an exciting challenge. Here’s to new learnings in the blogosphere world of life!
