Are you genuinely scared to visit Disneyland or Walt Disney World– acquainting a visit to something along the lines of a stop at a Haunted Mansion or spending 2-1/2 hours at the dentist for a root canal? Go on a journey with me to face your Disney fears and let’s see how we can overcome your scary moments. Are they perceived or real fears? You be the judge.
Fear of the Frozen Song. It’s the highest grossing Disney movie…ever! From Frozen, the Musical to Frozen sneakers, it’s Frozen time almost everywhere you turn. What you won’t hear, however, is “Let it Go” everywhere at the Disneyland Park. That is, unless, you repeatedly attend Frozen Live. You may, however, see 7-year old Disney Princesses dressed as Elsa and Anna as they hum a song or two. Perhaps you’ll make an exception to this genuine love for Frozen. Or, you can take solace in the fact that Disney has a treasure trove of upbeat non-Frozen music piped into the parks continuously.
If you love Frozen, pop over to the Frozen-Sing Along Celebration at Walt Disney World.
Fear of Screaming Kids. Okay, there are a lot of kids at Disney. Not hundreds, but thousands of kids who walk, prance, and gallop (no running allowed). There’s a lot of screaming going on. Screaming on Space Mountain, screaming on the Expedition to Everest, and screaming on Mission to Mars. Really? You don’t like screaming kids? The more screaming the better, I say!
Want to try your scream out? Ride Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark. It’s a guaranteed scream fest.
Fear of Waiting in the Dole Whip Line. On any given day, getting one of the most popular treats of all, the Dole Whip at Adventure Land is like entering its own swash buckling take no prisoners moment. Fear not! Segway your way to the Tiki Juice Bar first thing in the morning, last in the evening, or during the fireworks spectacular.
Not a Dole Whip fan? Then, try the churros. There’s more than a dozen churros carts throughout the park.
Fear of Missing Out. Spend your days pre-planning your Disney trip, but have anxiety and fear of missing out? Staying at Disney resort, so you can be the closest to the park? Check. Got your Fast Pass+? Check. No bags and just have a ticket holder, so you can skip through security? Check. With this careful planning, you actually might miss out. What? Miss out on the spontaneous moments. Miss out on the journey and where it takes you. Miss out on the thrill of the unknown.

Sharon is a lover of Disney, travel, and chocolate.
No more Disney fears? Great. Get your Frozen groove on as you indulge in your Dole Whip. Scream and for added measure, throw in a giggle or two. I promise you won’t miss out on your next Disney moment.
